Week 19 Reflection and Summary

What a week of order, honest prayer and courage under pressure! We watched the tribes camp around God's tabernacle, prayed through Psalms from joyful praise to deep darkness, and followed Paul from a riot in Jerusalem to a safe escort out of the city. If you've fallen behind, the weekend is your chance to catch up. And if you're on track, take a moment to thank God for His Word this week.

Old Testament: Numbers 2-6

God arranges His people around His presence, gives every clan a task in the tabernacle, and calls them to purity, confession and set-apart living. The week closes with the beautiful blessing of His face shining on us and His peace resting on us.

Reflection question: What role has God given you among His people, and are you bringing Him your best?

Poetry: Psalms 86-89

David gives God reason after reason to answer his prayers, Psalm 87 shows His love reaching the nations, and Psalm 88 sits honestly in the dark. Psalm 89 then praises God's faithful love and holds on to His covenant promises, even when they feel far away.

Reflection question: What reason can you give God today for trusting Him, even if you can't see the way ahead?

New Testament: Acts 21:17-23:35

Paul is arrested in Jerusalem, shares his testimony with the crowd and stands before the Sanhedrin with confidence and humility. Through it all, God stands near him, a young nephew saves his life, and the Lord keeps His promise that Paul will reach Rome.

Reflection question: Where do you need to hear God's "Take courage!" today?

A Prayer for the Week

๐Ÿ™ Lord, thank You that You place us around Your presence, hear our honest cries, and stand near us in every trial. Help us to serve You faithfully, trust Your promises, and carry Your peace into the week ahead. Amen.
