Songs From a Hospital Bed (2025)

Coming soon!

In March 2022, an emergency surgery saved my life, but left me facing a long road to recovery. During those quiet days in the hospital - learning to eat, write, and walk again - I found myself turning to music as both comfort and expression.

From my hospital bed, I wrote a collection of songs that became a testament to hope in the midst of struggle. These weren't planned or polished compositions, but raw, honest reflections born from a place of vulnerability and healing.

My prayer is that these songs will speak to anyone walking through their own season of suffering—whether in a hospital room, facing uncertainty, or simply needing a reminder that even in our darkest moments, we are not alone. Sometimes our greatest strength is found not in avoiding difficulty, but in discovering grace within it!

Free At Last (2025)

When I first starting reading of the works of holiness movement writers like AM Hills, SL Brengle and CW Ruth, my life changed as I embraced the Spirit who sanctifies. Free At Last was written at this time. A few months later, in a burst of creativity one afternoon, I wrote the other four songs, emphasizing the sanctifying work of the Spirit and our need for ongoing growth. How I cherish these songs!

Fruit of the Spirit album

Fruit of the Spirit (2019)

When I first took on a pastoral role at eMseni Methodist in 2018, I found it harder and harder to write music. Writing a sermon each week is challenging enough! However, when we began a series on the Fruit of the Spirit, I set myself a goal: to write a song for each fruit to accompany each sermon. This album is the result.

I Owe You Everything album cover

I Owe You Everything (2016)

I Owe You Everything is a meaningful album for me. It is a very personal collection of songs. The original album title was “Prayers and Hymns” - but I felt “I Owe You Everything” summed the album up in a slightly better way. Nonetheless, this is exactly that, a collection of personal prayers and hymns that have a special place in my heart. It is my prayer that they will accompany you on your daily journey with God.

“Give thanks in all circumstances,” says Paul, “for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). And so may you live a life of deep gratitude, always letting “I Owe You Everything” be your prayer.

Just a Man (2014)

This album came about when the song Just a Man wouldn’t quite fit onto any CrossRoad albums, but it was still very popular among the mens’ groups and churches we play at. So I thought to myself, “here’s an opportunity to let you hear some songs I’ve written that CrossRoad will never do - love songs, sad songs, songs about friendship and loneliness, celebration and grief. And while these aren’t technically gospel songs, they are very much a part of my faith and my journey with God. I hope that you enjoy the songs and that they will point you towards our ever loving God and Saviour!
