Year-End Prayer

I wrote a new song as I reflected back on the year just past.

Lyrics:

1. Another year has come and gone
I can't believe it's through
The only way that I survived
was holding onto You
There were laughs and there were tears
there were smiles and frowns
In the end Lord, You alone
helped me through the ups and downs

2. You are faithful, strong and true
and gracious every day
Though at times I strayed from You
You would always stay
When the skies were clear and blue
and when the skies were stormy
You were there to pull me through
how gently you cared for me!

Bridge
Everything and nothing has changed
Battles and blessings abound
Down upon my knees I proclaim
This lost and lonely sheep has been found

3. In this loud and noisy world
I strain to hear what You are saying
But Lord I know with certainty
that You hear every word I'm praying
And so I ask that by your grace
You'll cast away my doubt and fear
Lord go ahead and pave the way
as I begin another year
