Week 12 Tuesday
Exodus 29 shows the seriousness of priestly consecration, Psalm 54 finds David clinging to God amid persecution, and Peter calls the temple crowd to repentance.
Exodus 29
π What are we reading?: The consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests, and the atoning blood of the sacrifices.
β What does this passage say about God? He takes holiness and consecration with great seriousness.
π How does this passage teach us to live? Perhaps the church has lost some of this seriousness regarding ordination and consecration. Let's remember today that Christ's blood alone atones for our sins.

β What does this passage say about God? Verse 4 shows us that He is David's helper, the one who sustains him.

β‘οΈ The bigger picture: Luke's second book outlines the ministry of the early church - though it could just as well be called the Acts of the Holy Spirit, as He guides and grows Jesus' small movement into something that changes the world.
A Prayer for the Day
π Lord, help us to hold consecration and holiness as seriously as You do, to cling to You in faith through every persecution, and to turn from our sin in response to Your call. Amen.
