Blessed Are Those Who Find Their Strength In God
The next beatitude in Psalm 84 is in verse 5, which says, "Blessed are those whose strength is in You." Whose strength is in You.
Let me ask you a simple question today, friend: where do you find your strength? Are you relying on your own willpower? Are you relying on the material things you've got - money, possessions? Are you relying on your status and your calling, your position at work? Do you find strength in your leisure and your entertainment? These are all places we do get strength, but they don't last.
Where True Strength Is Found
The one place we can get strength that lasts is when we find our strength in God. Paul in Ephesians 6:10 said, "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." His mighty power.
Many Christians live their lives vaguely believing in God, but never accessing His power because they've never surrendered their life to Him. This Psalm reminds us that when we find our strength in God, we're blessed.
From Strength to Strength
Don't look for your strength in all sorts of wrong places, but fix your eyes on God. Fix your heart on Him. Spend time with Him daily.
In Psalm 84:7, the psalmist says that the people of God go from strength to strength. In other words, relying on God just cultivates more and more strength. Do you need to go from strength to strength today?
A Prayer for Strength
Let me pray for you as you listen.
Father, for each person listening today, I pray for a deep infilling of the Holy Spirit. I pray, Lord, that they will surrender to You fully, completely give their lives to You, and that You will give them supernatural strength from Your Spirit today - that whatever they face, they will face it not in their own willpower but with Your might and Your power empowering their spirits. That I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:14, Paul encourages believers to uplift and support those who are disheartened. This timeless message reminds us to be sources of encouragement for others, especially in challenging times. Just as early Christians faced persecution, modern believers may also feel disheartened, but they can find strength and courage in their faith in God, who is always with them. The key is to trust in Him, persevere, and proclaim His presence and support in their lives, ultimately rising above difficulties with renewed faith and courage.
