The experts in the law made great memorials for godly people, but never lived in godly ways. What a mistaken way of Christian living!

Jesus had stern words for those who were knowledgeable but had no compassion or love. Yes, we should know His Word, but it’s more important that we serve and help people with His love.

The Pharisees cared more about what people thought than what God thought. Yes we must represent God well, but never in a way that puffs us up.

Does prayer change anything? According to James, yes it does. Pray with expectation that your words move God!

Nothing grows in isolation. Every Christian needs a community in which growth is fostered.

When we get alone with God this year, let it lead us to worship!
