The apostle Paul was a fighter right to the end. Stand up and fight today – with the Spirit in you, you have more power than you know.

When Jesus was tempted, it was Scripture that served as his weapon against the enemy. When we are tempted, we can do the same.

As Christians we don’t pretend that life isn’t challenging. We acknowledge it, but we also acknowledge that God holds us through the storms.

Paul uses three pictures to show us how to endure the difficulties of the Christian life. Which resonates with you – soldier, athlete, or farmer?

John’s picture of the church in Revelation 21 reminds us that we are held secure by an overcoming and victorious God. What a message for us to hold to!

The disciples were promised power through the Spirit, and what a great measure of power they received! Are you operating in the Spirit’s power today?

The empty tomb of Jesus means that though each of us will die, those of us in Christ will conquer death and go on living in His presence.

Jesus’ victory over the grave gives us victory over condemnation. We can come out of the tomb of condemnation and be freed today.

God never promises to take away our troubles, but he does promise to help us endure them. This is what it means to be “more than conquerors”.

Paul reminds us that in Christ we are not just conquerors, but super-conquerors. The Christian life is not a gathering around dry bones, but a walk with a living Saviour!

Some Christians live in defeat, some in victory. We should ALL live in victory because of the empty tomb!

“Battle Belongs” teaches us that as we fight our battles, God goes ahead of us, and nothing can stand against His power.

Let’s dream some big dreams this year. God is able to do so much more than we can ever imagine.

When Mary started to panic at the sight of the angel, he spoke assuring words to her and calmed her fears. Let’s hear his words to us today and also have a fearless Christmas season.

Mary was highly favoured by God – and so can we be. It is not perfect, sinless ones who are favoured by God, but sinners who have found grace through faith – like Mary.

As Zechariah encountered an angel, he was gripped with fear – but a calming message was given to him to take his fear away. Perhaps God has the same calming words for us this Christmas.

REAL living can happen for you and I in our ordinary lives. When we see our ordinary lives as an adventure with Jesus.

Jesus not only brings us life, but he makes life worth living. He really lived to the full, and offers us a full, satisfied life.

Just because the Spirit is the one who empowers us, doesn’t mean that we have no responsibility. We are called to do the work of resisting temptation, in the power of the Spirit.
