No so-called “holy men” can bring us to true holiness. Only one person holds the key to a holy and whole life – Jesus Christ.

When Jesus ascended He didn’t begin to rest in heaven. The Bible talks of Him at the right hand of God, interceding for His people even now.

For many of us, Ascension Day doesn’t mean a lot in our faith. But perhaps this was actually the most important event in Jesus’ ministry

Jesus startled the disciples on the day he appeared to them in the Upper Room. Sometimes we all need God to startle us and give us a wake up! Maybe today is that day for you.

On this Good Friday we consider the way in which Jesus absorbed God’s anger so that guilty people may come to God without fear. His blood is what ‘propitiates’ God’s wrath.

Jesus’ spilled blood opened a way for people to be reconciled with God. When you need to be close to God, plead the blood!

Receiving the blood of Christ is the only way to cleanse your soul. As the hymn says, ‘what can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Jesus shed his blood to pay the price for our freedom. The question is: have we walked out of our prisons?

Blood transfusions save many lives each year. But only one blood transfusion can save our souls! It happened at the cross where Jesus died.

When Jesus comes again, he will see those who were ready and will serve them with compassion. What a wonderful picture.

What is life all about? It turns out that Jesus knows the answer.

One thing you can say about Jesus – he was holy! Demons proclaimed it, believers proclaimed it. Do we proclaim it and try to emulate it?

How will you respond to the testimonies of God himself, Jesus' life, and John along with countless believers?

Jesus pointed to Scripture to prove that he was who he claimed to be. But the Pharisees scoured Scripture and still missed him!

The greatest testimony to Jesus' claims was the very voice of God booming down from heaven on three separate occasions.

Don't just believe Jesus' words about himself. Look at his life and see how his works prove that he is who he claims to be!

The old rugged cross may be stained with blood, but it's a wondrous thing because it brings about the forgiveness and power of God.

The cross of Jesus is a wonderfully attractive thing – because there He gave himself up for the sins of the world.

The classic hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” reminds us not to observe Jesus from afar, but to claim His cross and our own emblem.

One picture of Jesus that Mary would have wanted to forget was him on the cross. Is there a reason that Catholics have Jesus on the cross in their churches? It's because what he did there has the utmost significance for us in our faith journeys.
