Beware Compromise
When we talk about Pharisees, we can often think that compromise is ok, for the sake of humility. It isn’t!
Two Worlds Apart
How often we find ourselves speaking great words to God but living worlds apart from Him. Are you wearing His name but not playing the game?
Committed to Faith in Jesus
Philemon was a man deeply committed to his faith, and Paul and others had heard about it. Does our commitment to Jesus show?
Committed to Loving Others
Paul saw in Philemon a great love for other people. If we are to be committed Christians, this is where it all begins.
An Ordinary Christian
Philemon is not one of the names we think of when we list great disciples of Jesus. But he was a committed believer who did much good for the kingdom. You don’t have to be a Paul or a Peter to be committed to God.
Dedicated Christians
Haralan Popov was finally released from prison, and found something interesting about the church outside the prison wall.
Giving God Your All
D.L. Moody, a renowned evangelist from the late 1800s, experienced a profound transformation when he began leading others to Christ. His initial reluctance turned into a passionate commitment to sharing the gospel. This story highlights the idea that actively engaging in spreading one's faith can reignite a spiritual fire within, reminding us of Jesus' command to make disciples. Encouragement is given to seek opportunities to lead others to God and experience the renewed vitality of faith, much like Moody did in his lifetime.
Living Sacrifices
Ruth Garlock's mother realised that she needed to offer her daughter to God as a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1 demanded it.
Choose to Commit to God
Psalm 31 encourages us to commit our lives to God, pledging loyalty to Him, trusting that His power will deliver and sustain us when we choose to fully commit.
Committing Fully
King Josiah committed to God fully, and didn't turn to the right or left. Can we commit fully to God? Yes we can - finding victory as we go in faith.
Renewing Our Vows
Josiah helped the people of Judah recommit to God - like a couple renewing their wedding vows. Sometimes we Christians backslide, and need to recommit to our God - for we are his precious bride.
