Supporters’ Extra: Jesus is the Same
Jesus Christ remains unchanging in His friendship, care, love, and power to save, even as everything around us shifts and changes. Celebrate today the unchanging nature of your God and place your trust in His constant faithfulness.
Blessing His Name
Blessing God's name is an act of worship that honours His character regardless of our circumstances. Make it your practice today to praise the Lord from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Conqueror of All Earth’s Kingdoms
Jesus reigns as the conquering King whose kingdom will never end, triumphing over evil through His death on the cross. Place your hope today not in earthly politics but in the eternal kingdom of God.
Redeemer, Saviour, Friend
Jesus redeemed us from sin, saved us from death, and calls us His friends. Consider today which of these three truths you most need to hold onto in your current season.
His Name Above All Names Shall Stand
Jesus' name stands exalted above all others, and His ever-expanding kingdom will never end. Join with the angels today in adoring the risen King who sits at the Father's right hand.
All Praise to Him Who Reigns Above
God reigns in supreme majesty, yet He sent His Son to redeem humanity through the cross. Pause today to worship this majestic God who loved you enough to become one of us.
Supporters’ Extra: Jesus Reveals the Father
A challenging verse about Jesus revealing the Father leads to different theological interpretations between Calvinists and Wesleyans. Today, focus on the truth that unites all Christians - Jesus saves through His shed blood.
Joyful Envy
Many prophets and kings longed to see what the disciples witnessed in Jesus, and we too can look back with grateful joy at their testimony. Today, read Scripture with joyful thankfulness for those who saw Christ and shared Him with the world.
Joy in Praise
When we discover the joy of God, the natural response is to praise Him, which in turn releases even more joy into our lives. Today, make praise your pathway to joy, lifting up God's name regardless of your circumstances.
The Father’s Joy
God the Father is revealed in Scripture as a joyous being who delights in His people and rejoices over His works. Today, consider whether your life brings joy to God and ask Him to work in you what is pleasing to Him.
Jesus’ Joy
Many picture Jesus as sorrowful or stern, but Scripture reveals Him as a man of immense joy through the Holy Spirit. Today, remember that following Jesus means sharing in His joy and allowing that joy to transform your life.
The Disciples’ Joy
The disciples returned from ministry overjoyed at their spiritual authority, but Jesus redirected their focus to the greater joy of being loved by God. Today, examine whether your joy is based on your success or on your position as God's beloved child.
Attentive to God’s Power
When God asked if anything was too hard for Him, Abraham maintained faith in God's power but Sarah laughed in disbelief. Keep your eyes fixed on God's promises today, not on the seeming impossibilities around you.
Attentive to God’s Presence
Abraham recognised God's presence among His visitors and responded with faith, even when the promise seemed impossible. Tune your heart today to recognise God's closeness in every moment and situation.
Attentive to God’s Angels
The Bible teaches us to show hospitality to strangers, for some have entertained angels without knowing it. Start each day asking God to make you more attentive to divine opportunities around you.
Attentive to God’s People
Abraham noticed three strangers in the heat of the day and immediately saw their needs, rushing to serve them with hospitality. Look around today for someone who needs your attention, encouragement, or practical help.
A Lost Trait
In our distracted world, the ability to pay attention to what truly matters has become increasingly rare. Begin today by asking God to make you more attentive to the needs around you, following Abraham's example of godly awareness.
Supporters’ Devo: What We Need and No More
The decline of springbok populations from millions to thousands teaches us about responsible stewardship of God's creation. Take only what you need and care for the earth as humble servants rather than rightful owners.
Locust-Like Destruction
Sin brings locust-like destruction to our lives, but Jesus came as the Bread of Life to restore what was taken away and remove our shame. Praise God that for those in Christ, redemption and spiritual richness have been restored.
A Nearby Lion
Satan prowls around like a roaring lion seeking to devour believers, but he cannot snatch you from Jesus' hand and you have the power to resist his temptations. Maintain an alert and sober mind to reject the enemy's offers and seek after a holy life that pleases God.
