Walking With You to the End
God the Father is with His children to the very end - not even death can separate them from Him, and He takes them by the hand to lead them home when their time comes.
Wrapping You in His Arms
How amazing to know that the God who holds creation in His hands, holds you and I in His arms.
Wanting to Meet With You Today
Not only do we wait on the Lord, but he waits for us in the secret place, longing to bless us. Draw near to Him!
Waiting in Expectation
Some children wait excitedly for their father's arrival at home... others wait in fear. Children of God have the privilege of waiting for their loving Father in joyful expectation - for He loves them so.
Watching Over You
Unlike our earthly fathers who need sleep, God "never slumbers"! Inspiration from Gavin Towsen's song "Father" this week.
They wanted people to die, we want sin to die
Psalm 137 expresses a desire for vengeance on enemies, but Jesus teaches to love and pray for them, emphasizing their salvation over their downfall.
They rejoiced, but we mourn at our enemy's death
Psalm 137 expresses a desire for vengeance on enemies, but Jesus teaches to love and pray for them, emphasizing their salvation over their downfall.
They wanted a place... we want a person
Psalm 137 prized Jerusalem as the highest joy, representing God's presence, but the New Testament emphasizes God Himself as the ultimate joy, transcending physical locations.
They couldn't sing... We can
Israelites in exile couldn't sing; Paul and Silas sang in prison, showing joy despite hardship, urging Christians to do the same.
They Wept For the Past… We Press On
The Jews in exile wept for the past, as we see in Psalm 137. But Christians are called to press on in faith, even in tough times.
The Spirit in Resurrected Life
The Holy Spirit not only empowered Jesus' resurrection but offers believers the same transformative power for both eternal life and renewed existence now. Surrender to the Spirit's work today, allowing Him to resurrect areas of your life that need renewal and to manifest His fruits through your ordinary humanity.
The Spirit in Suffering
The Holy Spirit provided Jesus with strength during His crucifixion, enabling Him to endure unimaginable suffering and complete His redemptive work. Draw comfort from knowing this same Spirit dwells within you, offering supernatural power to face your own trials with courage and perseverance.
The Spirit in Your Life
The Holy Spirit empowered Jesus throughout His entire ministry, from His wilderness testing to His powerful teaching and miraculous works. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you today and begin walking in His power, allowing Him to transform your everyday actions into a powerful witness for God.
The Spirit in Baptism
The Holy Spirit played a crucial role in Jesus' baptism, visibly descending upon Him as confirmation of His divine identity and mission. Consider how the Spirit has been present in your own baptism journey and seek to live each day with an awareness of His presence within you.
The Spirit in Birth
The Holy Spirit was active in Jesus' life from birth, demonstrating God's supernatural plan for salvation through His Son. Take time today to reflect on how God's Spirit has been working in your own life, even before you were aware of His presence.
Don’t Let the Sun Go Down Without saying “I Love You”
A day without an "I love you" is a wasted day! Say it to the people who need to hear it most today... what a difference it might make.
Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Your Anger
It was Paul who said "don't let the sun go down on your anger". An story from early church history illustrates how we can make this a rule of our lives.
Don’t Let the Sun Go Down Without Bending the Knee in Prayer
Birds go to sleep on their perches without falling off, because their bended knees help them hold onto their perch tightly. What's the secret to holding things that are precious to us? The secret is in the bended knee of prayer.
Don’t Let the Sun Go Down Without Feasting on the Word
How privileged we are to have our own Bibles in these times. Yet, how often the sun goes down with our Bibles still unopened or unread. Let's change that! The Word of God brings truth... even when it doesn't bring peace.
