Don’t Sulk!
When King Ahab didn't get his way, he sulked and pouted. Are you like him? Take your sulking to Jesus and find freedom and joy.
Andrew Murray's Healing, then Lack of Healing
Andrew Murray was miraculously healed, and then not healed later. Both times God's glory shone through Him. Seek healing in faith, but if it doesn't come, God will use you anyway.
Andrew Murray’s Call for Workers and Pray-ers
Andrew Murray knew that each child of God is called to work for Him, and pray to Him. Are we taking these calls seriously, like he did?
Andrew Murray's Failures
Facing failure in his ministry, Andrew Murray chose to see God's provident hand at work. How do we deal with failure?
Andrew Murray's Gentleness
Andrew Murray realised the scolding and scaring people into the kingdom didn't work. He believed that threatening instead of loving did a disservice to the gospel.
Andrew Murray the Ecumenical Pastor
When another church threatened the powerful Dutch Reformed Church, Murray responded with remarkable grace and wisdom. We could learn from his mature outlook.
Thirsting for Fullness
Andrew Murray may have been a giant in the faith, but he had his struggles to believe too. He is not high and above us, but just one of us!
Bring God the Small Things
Andrew Murray's father learned a profound lesson from his own brother - that nothing it too small to bother God with.
Communion With God
Andrew Murray's mother was deeply content. Why? Because of her close relationship with God.
A Worshipful Home
The great South African minister and writer Andrew Murray grew up in a home of much worship, Scripture and prayer. Is yours such a home?
Jesus the Priest-Maker
All followers of Jesus are called to be priests - not professional clergy, but ones who can connect with God directly and offer themselves as sacrifices. Have you taken your place as a priest?
Jesus the Lover of Souls
How can it be that the great God loves us? This is the most mind-boggling truth of all - that the One who is high above came do our level and gave himself for us - out of love.
Jesus the Ruler of Kings
Jesus Christ rules over any other earthly leader. Who will you put your trust in? Politicians? Religious leaders? Or Jesus himself?
Jesus the Firstborn From the Dead
Jesus Christ was the first to conquer death and live on even though he had died. His followers are promised the same eternal life.
Jesus the Faithful Witness
Jesus Christ is a faithful witness to the truth. If He says it’s true, it’s true! Will we believe in Him? Or will we place our faithful in the witness of less faithful ones?
God’s Care
The Psalmist tells us that God remembers us in our low estate. Do you need to hear this today? He cares for you, He loves you, He is with you. Hold to Him.
God’s Superiority
Should we, like the Psalmists, pray that God will kill the evil rulers of our time? No. We should pray for their salvation and transformation by the cross of Jesus.
God’s Saving Grace
The Jews saw the exodus as the greatest act of saving grace God could perform. But we see the cross and we know that Jesus' sacrifice there once for all bought our salvation.
God’s Creative Power
God has made a beautiful world by His creative power! Are we helping to preserve it, or are we destroying it?
